Gallery 13b - Ann Norman (England)
Ply-split braiding (SCOT) using rope made from natural sisal parcel twine. The "brush" on the left is about 4" / 10 cms high, could be called a crumb brush. The others I think of as a sisal "keep" is so named because it is effectively double-walled (the sides travel up, over and down again), is rather solid and heavy and could be used to keep small things in safety. Reminds me of an old stone keep inside a castle.

Ann can be reached by e-mail.
