Tribal jewelry revisited (fiber armlet).

A takadai braid made with metallic thread. The end caps are fabricated and textured sterling silver.

one fish, two fish, red fish, blue...twig

Hand dyed silk in colors reminiscent of the ocean and the translucence of some fish. Vintage pressed glass fish hang from the tassel. The first half of the braid is the Hiratukasa pattern; the braid is then split in multiple small braids, which are re-braided using the Hira se pattern. The wooden twig was colored and covered with resin as part of the closure.
